The volunteers of the slum class organised a mini bal mela for the children to mark the closing of the academic year. 

We'll reopen in June after the holidays.

New Team At Infant Jesus Shrine Nashik

Fr. Trevor Miranda SJformer director of REAP took over as the Chaplain of the Shrine on 1st June in place of Fr. Aubrey who has been transferred to St. Peter's Church, Bandra.

Fr. Dion Lobo SJ, former manager of the network of schools and colleges in Talasari, took over as the new Manager of St. Xavier's School and is also the Asst. Chaplain.

Fr. Baptist Pinto SJ (former principal of St. Mary's School, Mazagaon) took over as the new Principal of the School and also assists in the Shrine.

Fr. Emil D'Cruz SJ (former Principal of St. Xavier's College), Fr. Cedric Rebello SJ (former parish priest of various city parishes) and Fr. Rudy Fernandes SJ (veteran missionary) continue to be Asst. Chaplains and be of service to the pilgrims.  Bro. Vincent D'Souza sees to administation.  Swami Shilananda who resides in his Ashram at Sinnar is attached to this community.

 

New Additions:

Pilgrim House:  The newly build REtreat House and Pilgrim House were blessed and innaugurated on 30 May by Fr. Maurice Henriques SJ, the former Chaplain.  The Pilgrim House has 32 rooms with 5 beds each.  It offers comfortable stay for pilgrims who come from far.  The canteen provides the meals.

Retreat House:  The new Retreat House has 10 rooms with two beds each, self-contained, a Chapel, well equipped Conference Hall for seminars, marriage encounters, retreats, youth programmes etc.  For bookings contact the Shrine Office.  

Week-end retreats are planned every third week of the month.   The retreats will be given by the Shrine Jesuits based on Ignatian Spirituality.  For dates see Home Page.
